The Besties

Sometimes there are clients that are just so reliable and consistent the relationship grows to something much bigger than BDSM.
I have been blessed to have a few experiences like this, and I hope to have more now that I can be more prolific with my work.
I am talking about my BDSM Besties: Clients who have become so familiar to me that they aren’t just clients, they are community.
Let me be candid: in this line of work, people can be awful. I would argue that it has to do with the decline of community. I don’t think many people know how to treat other people anymore. It may have something to do with the pandemic, it may have something to do with a lack of 3rd spaces. I know it has something to do with white supremacy culture, and the rampant individualism that plagues this country. But regardless of the cause the result is clear: people are rude, entitled, and flakey.
There are days that I have felt like a battered ship in the storm having to vet inquiries for my services. There are times when I have felt that I did not want to do this work anymore.
But every single instance of fatigue I have felt has been met by my BDSM Besties with compassion.
My BDSM Besties are the reason I love what I do, because they make me believe in people again. I believe there are more loving, kind individuals out there who just want to get nasty in a judgment free place.
Call me Ash Ketcham because I’m out to catch ‘em all.
